While I have had the luxury of being here in Iraq, I have really followed all news that pertained to the Middle East like an obsessed fan. Their has been alot of things that have happened in the last 6 months and when you tie them all in, it is frigging scary. I will say this now that everything that has gone on so far does not tie into the USA being in Afghanistan or Iraq, that's just a lame excuse a liberal will use. No, the events and exchange of words are true feelings of fascist people who have radical ideas and the Middle East is getting to the boiling point. What I am talking about is Iran and Syria. Both these countries and their radical leaders scare the living piss out of me. Why you ask? I was hoping someone would ask that question. I will tell you why.
We will start with Syria. Now, this little country by itself is no more threatening than Cindy Sheehan and her crew outside Crawford, Texas. But if they link up with a more powerul ally (say Iran) than they are what Italy was to Germany in WW II except a helluva lot more radical and crazy. Syria's leader is nothing more than a punk kid who inherited a nation, or at least that's how he comes off to me. He has a disdain for Israel and anyone who supports them and their cause. Their cause being having their own independent nation. Of course it goes deeper than that, but that is the bottom line. He is an overgrown spoiled brat who should've been slapped a few times growing up. He leads a nation that is borderline radical and they are being investigated into the deaths of some diplomats after pulling out of the Gaza Strip (I hate when I am unsure if I got the right places and Im too tired to google it). Any person who does not agree with the government ends up in jail, or shot. Sounds alot like the Taliban and Saddam's regime, doesn't it? The army he commands is not that big nor that mighty, but they are extremist in uniform so therefore they are dangerous. Syria has also cried wolf many times but fell upon deaf ears when they say US forces were attacking their borders when we were actually fighting insurgents up near the border but never crossed the border. It is almost as if they are looking for a reason to go to war with the USA. Believe me, he would know if we had crossed the borders because if we would have, we would be sitting in Damascus right now. Be thankful that we havent' done anything. Overall, Syria does not scare me by themselves, they are more in tune to a pesky fly that you cant seem to swat away.
On the other hand, Iran is what scares the piss out of me. Here is a country that is ruled by an ultra conservative aka radical extremist, who had a part in the Iran Contra of 1980. What goes around comes back around my friend. He has hated the Western World and the USA for a long time and guess what, he is in power. Since being in office, he has said Israel should be wiped off the planet, the Holocaust did not happen and is a Western Myth, and oh by the way they broke the U.N. seals on nuclear reactors that can enrich uranium into weapons grade material. Are you scared yet? You should be. Their is no doubt in my mind that if Iran can make just ONE BOMB, they will nuke Israel. But don't think Israel does not know this. They have already threatened to strike Iran if the U.N. does not do anything. I don't know about you, but I smell a war brewing and for once the USA did not start this. Iran is doing this on their own, and waving the middle finger at the EU3 (England, France, Germany), USA, and the rest of the world. Now I know all you liberals are saying if we have nuclear power why can't they? They do have a nuclear reactor that is up and running STRICTLY for electricity. If they sunk a little bit more money into this reactor instead of chasing after the technology of enriching uranium they would be better off. But that is not how radical governments work. The future is looking grim for the world, not just the USA. This "War on Terrorism" is just a name that we have given to the events after 9/11, but it is a war that has been brewing not just against the USA, but the western societies since the mid-80's. I will explain that in another post when I get the chance. But for now, look forward to possibly WW III within the next 3 years if the U.N., EU3, and the USA do not diffuse the time bomb about to go off in the Middle East here quickly. That's all N. Korea needs to see............Editor's Note: As stated earlier, Syria is being investigated for the death of a Lebonese official which stirred up the withdrawal out of Lebanon, not the Gaza Strip. Also, the Iranian president was one of the hostage takers who seized the American Embassy in 1979. Thank You to anonymous for pointing out my errors. No more serious posts when I'm exhausted.
