Well, tomorrow I leave for Ft. Irwin better known as NTC for the final test to see if we are combat ready. I know I am ready for the "non stop balls to the wall" tempo that traditionally is a rotation to NTC. For those of you who do not know what NTC is, it is basically one HUGE training area for the military to train on in the middle of Death Valley. It is hundreds of miles of nothing in all directions and can be hot as HELL. But the desert is normally hot anyways. This will be my 2nd time in my military career to go there and my 3rd time to Death Valley. On that note, this will probably be my last post till I get back so wish me luck as I venture to the desert for our test. Also, on Memorial Day, make sure to eat a burger and drink a beer and silently thank a soldier that you can still enjoy special days like that and not have to worry about much. I shall be in the desert on Memorial Day and be the first of many special holidays I shall miss and yearn to be with loved ones but have a very important job to do. So over the next year, on these special days, please say a silent prayer for all the troops who are sleeping on the front lines fighting for the freedoms and values we as Americans believe in and the same fredoms and values that the citizens of Iraq and Afghanistan want. To take care until next time.
