Well, I am going on less than 10 hours of sleep in the last 72 hours. I am dog tired at this point. Our time here in wonderful NTC is coming to a close soon so of course the evaluators hit us with everything they got. I got off shift this morning at about 8:30, at some breakfast cake and than went to hit the rack for some z's. That lasted about 3 hours when I was woken up cuz I was driving my captain out for a mission that we were suddenly going on. We didnt leave till like around supper time. We get out there and set up and the shit hits the fan. I was busting my wazoo on the radios relaying messages, writing down casualty reports, relaying those figures to higher, arranging our maintenance guys to retrieve vehicles that were "destroyed" in the battle and so on and so forth. Of course, their were no real casualties cuz this is just training, but let me tell you, in the heat of battle, even if its training your blood is pumping. I didnt get back to our base till midnight than started my night shift. I am starting to feel like that Green Day song, Imsomnia I think its called. I cant remember, my mind is numb. My eyes feel like their gonna bleed........The only good thing about tonight was that I bought 2 Yankees tickets for when I am home so me and my toots can go see our favorite team play. The seats are in great view of the field and now the section we are sitting in is sold out. I got the last 2 tickets for that section! It may be cuz I am tired but I am happier than a pig in mud. Well, its almost time for me to do my last report of the night and HOPEFULLY I can get some sleep before the move back to main base. Until next grumbling.
