Well, yesterday I commenced to bitch about how hot it is during the day in the desert. Useless moaning but I did it anyways. Well, when I got off at 8 this morning it was breezy out still from the windstorm the night before and it was cloudy out. I thought to myself, will it rain today (Does it rain in the desert?) I got to my good ol military cot and quickly got out of my uniform into something alittle more comfortable to sleep in. I had already ate breakfast and I was gonna take advantage of a nice breeze flowing through the tent before mid day heat set in and I woke up. Now, mind you I bitched about no a/c in the tent the nite before and it seems mother nature heard my wailing and decided to be nice. Not only did the breeze stay all day, it picked up and was faster than the night before. We had organic A/C cuz it was a nice and cool wind and I slept until about and hour and a half before my shift. It was my best sleep since coming out to NTC. The breeze is still blowing as we speak so maybe I can get lucky and still have a breeze when I get off and be able to get some more sleep in cool temps. I may be asking for too much since I am in a part of Death Valley but I am a gambler and I'm gonna press my luck on this one. It didnt rain today but it did stay pretty cloudy so temps didnt get past 90. That is a cool day in the desert. I wonder how many of those we will have while we are out here playing soldier. Oh well, only time will tell.
